A Celebration of Van Hook Family Treasures will reveal several new works of art not
exhibited before and some works of art (nfs) of collections from various art
pilgrimages and journeys throughout the artists’ lives. Ginger and Luke Van
Hook work collaboratively as well as independently on their art mediums,
demonstrating a wide range of work across several artistic fields.
Ginger Van Hook is a landscape photographer and documentary
film-maker. Having earned her MFA degree from Otis College of Art and Design,
her subjects focus on the beauty and historic value of landscapes as well as
the underlying
environmental and scientific issues impacting
artist communities.
Ginger Van Hook’s subjects range from flowers to animals
and artistic films documenting the importance of
the artistic process.
Luke Van Hook is a fine arts painter who also earned his
degree from
Otis College of Art and Design in drawing and
painting. His practice has evolved into sculpture, installation art and
experimental processes. Luke Van Hook has several bodies of work that expand
his portfolio to include work that demonstrates the exploration of new
techniques blending painting, painting with light
and experimental use of LEDs and scientific processes.
